Blog to Profit Show Episode #1 – Selling Dirt to Neighbors

Posted · 9 Comments

Welcome to the first ever episode of the ‘Blog to Profit Show. Make Money Online, Smarter’. Selling Dirt to Neighbours.

In this show I am going to warn you why your desire to get to a bigger audience could be damaging your profit opportunity today – using periods and dirt as an example.

If you’re stressed about increasing your social media followers, your newsletter list or your online audience then this first episode is for you.

Recently, I’ve been engaging with nearly 90 women as part of my premium Blog to Profit Academy. This is a group of women who want to find out how to approach making money from a blog in a smarter way and how to get their online business in front of the people who matter faster.

We have spent nearly 12 weeks together and there has been some obvious similarities in what keeps women profit blocked or business blocked.

I wanted to share one with you today in the first episode of the Blog to Profit Show. It’s a quick 10 mins, so you can listen now or download to listen offline. I would love to hear from you with feedback or questions below the post.

This particular show wasn’t rehearsed or planned, however it is something that I want to focus on and bring to you on a weekly basis.  I would love your help for future shows. If you have a burning question for me to answer on the show then please tweet me at @alicenicholls_ on Twitter or hit up my Facebook page.

Thank you Alice for this podcast! I love the humour and off-the-cuff way in which you presented it. I’m currently changing my mindset with my blog and ensuring that I focus on the little community I have and hopefully with word of mouth and some marketing it will slowly get bigger.

It’s one of the hardest things to do, however one of the most powerful. I like to think about it like the ‘Lorna Jane’ effect. It costs about $140 for an outfit from LJ. And yet some women spend heaps of their paycheck in that store. They love the brand and the clothes and they would by anything that is produced there. You’ve got your own raving fans out there waiting to spend their paycheck with you. You’ve just got to make sure you recognise them. 🙂 I’m thrilled to have you here.

  4. Loved this, thank you so much for sharing and the tips!! xxx
