Banana Oat Protein Pancakes

Sometimes I want a sweet breakfast when I get out of the surf, however I still want to make sure I’m starting my day with around 30grams of protein. This helps me stay fuller for longer, helps stabilise blood sugar, moods and emotions 😉, supports lean muscle mass and fat urning, and helps my cellular repair and rejuvenation (so I can look better for longer).

This recipe is packed with protein in the eggs, milk, pure whey powder, collagen and in the toppings if you’re using a dairy like sour cream or yoghurt, like I do.

Once you start making these I promise you’re going to have a new hyper-fixation on board. Or maybe that’s just me.

RECIPE:

  • 1 cup rolled oats

  • 1 banana

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 heaped tbs PURE WHEY powder.

  • 1 dessertspoon of collagen powder

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda (bicarb soda)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/3 cup milk

  • Blend together in a high powered blender, and fry in a heated frypan with butter, ghee or olive oil.

  • Flip when bubble start to appear on the top of the wet surface and begin popping.

I top with tahini, Greek yoghurt and honey or sub Greek yoghurt for sour cream, which is AMAZING!

Options: You can get grass-fed whey powder from Mirabooka, Tru Protein, or Mt Capra or Coles does a pure whey powder (not grass-fed) in the health section. (You can also use a vanilla protein powder if you like).

    Have a wonderful day. Al.
